Ecological Surveys around Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire

Conservation Constructions offer all the standard types of survey. We explain all the results and options available providing clear practical, cost effective recommendations for legislative compliance. We regularly carry out Ecological Surveys in and around Cambridge, Northampton, Peterborough, Wisbech, Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, Ely, Kettering, Melton Mowbray and Market Harborough.

Commonly included surveys include:

  • Scoping/extended Phase 1 - An overview of a site to identify where further survey effort should be targeted (applicable to large developments). These surveys are also useful for determining management for land earmarked for development in the future.

  • Biodiversity - Identifying the wildlife and habitats on a site and making recommendations for the management, or if they will be lost through change of use, advice on mitigation/ compensation.

  • Species and Habitats - may include those protected by European or UK legislation as well as biodiversity action plan species.

  • Non native - alien and invasive species that can present a liability. We provide advice on management/ eradication.

Note: Surveys can be subject to seasonal constraints and therefore pre-planning is important.
